Wisconsin State Fair

As mentioned yesterday, Merrick had some time off this summer for paternity leave and so he enjoyed some fun outings with Avery and Camryn while I stayed home with newborn Lily. One of the big excursions was to the Wisconsin State Fair.
This was Merrick’s first experience with the State Fair. I took the girls last year and this year was his turn. He stayed there for 5-6 hours and was thoroughly wiped out when they left! Here are some of the pictures he took while they were there.

He actually took them on some rides, which I thought was brave. He said they loved the ferris wheel.

And they played some games and he won them some stuffed Angry Birds dolls. Camryn calls hers “Mad Bird”, which I think is funny.

If you recall from Camryn’s birthday in this post, Avery is very afraid of these kinds of rides but this time she turned her inner brAvery on and rode along with her younger sister. Their faces say it all. :)

Of course it wouldn’t be the state fair without a picture with a pink piggy.


The line for the Giant Slide was too long but Avery did a cute pose for us.

They got lots of yummy junk food and walked more miles than Merrick’s feet could handle, but they had fun. Hopefully next year we can all go together as a family.
