Brewers Game

On Wednesday we took the three girls to their first Major League Baseball game at Miller Park! It was really fun and they did great. Lily actually loved the loud stadium and I even got her to take a 30 minute nap in all the noise (including during a home run!).

It was fun to teach the kids a little more about the game of baseball and Avery had some fun drawing baseball themed pictures.

We recently read Curious George goes to a Baseball Game and so they knew what to expect a little bit. In the book, George gets on the big screen and so every time they panned the audience the girls were dancing their hearts out to make it on the screen but we didn’t have any luck. Maybe next time!

Unfortunately the Brewers lost to the Houston Astros, but we still had a great time. We’ll definitely go again sometime! Maybe next time it won’t be pouring rain so we can enjoy Miller Park with the top open. :)

Lil’s Skills!

This little one is amazing! She learns one thing and quickly moves on to the next. She went from crawling to sitting up to standing up to cruising in no time! Then the past couple days she’s started letting go of things while she’s standing so she can stand up for up to like 10 seconds by herself without holding on to anything. Crazy girl.

Then yesterday we pulled out the walker toy and she just took off pushing and walking! Amazing, I tell you! Here’s a little video of my sweetie.

Lil’s skills

She’s 8 1/2 months! Avery and Camryn were about 11 months old when they learned how to walk. I’m wondering if she’ll make it that long.

One thing she is behind them though – teeth! They both cut their first tooth around 7 – 7 1/2 months and she still hasn’t had any pop through. They’re really, really close though!

Oh and here are a couple sweet pictures of my little lovely. (I couldn’t pick my favorite!!)

Happy Easter!

We had a lovely Easter this year. Saturday we went to a couple hunts that we usually go to here in Sussex – one at Pick n Save and one put on by the Village of Sussex. We got quite a bit of free candy and prizes between the two and so the girls enjoyed it.

Sunday morning I set up a little scavenger hunt with clues in plastic eggs. At the end of the hunt their prize was a Butterfly habitat – we’re ordering caterpillars in the mail and then they will turn into butterflies for us! So exciting and perfect for spring, right?

Then we had egg shaped pancakes with sprinkles in them (Avery’s idea!) and got all dressed up for church. Luckily all three girls had pretty dresses that still fit them from last year (Lily’s was Avery’s easter dress from 5 years ago!). Here are a few of the pictures.

After church we had my aunt and uncle and 5 of their kids over for a ham dinner with carrot cake for dessert. Then Merrick set up a huge egg hunt in our big backyard - almost an acre of grass to hunt in, and it hasn’t been mowed yet this year so it was very shaggy and easy to hide eggs! We assigned each kid a color and there were about 90 eggs! It was fun despite the cloudy windy evening. We love having family nearby!

Zoo

We took a little field trip to the Zoo with our Preschool group because we’ve been talking about animals for the past month or so. The kids had a great time. Here are a few quick pictures!

Love this picture of Lily! She has learned how to wave occasionally (like I can get her to do it once every 3-4 days).

And this one is cool too, I think. Looks like I put her right in the den of sleeping lions! She looks a little worried!!
