Unfortunately I didn't start buying things for it quite early enough so there wasn't a lot of snowflake themed things in the store at the end of February. So if you want to do a Frozen party, stock up during the winter season! :) Especially since every store and online retailer was sold out of everything Frozen at the time. But I made do!
We invited about 15 girls and had 10 friends come. I got the invite customized on etsy and them I had them printed at Costco.
For decorations we made it look like snow was falling by stringing cotton balls on white thread, made blue and white tissue paper poms, hung white streamers, and printed off and frames some free printables I found on Pinterest. Here is my Frozen party Pinterest board-

I set up two tables. Here is the food table-
I had the party in the afternoon so I just did snacks and treats. We did Elsa's snow popcorn, Kristoff's ice cubes (jello jigglers),
Anna's frozen hearts (white chocolate covered strawberries), snowflake Ritz crackers with cheese, and the parts of a snowman (carrot noses, powdered sugar donut hole "snowballs", pretzel stick "snowman arms", and chocolate chips for buttons).
I also made "melted snowman" labels for the waterbottles.
And my crown jewel of the snack table was my snowflake cupcakes. I printed off a picture of snowflakes, put it under some wax paper, then melted white chocolate and piped it on the wax paper in the snowflake shapes. When it cooled I carefully removed them and placed them on the top of a cupcake iced with sky blue colored frosting. Cool right?
We don't do a lot of presents when it's a friends party year (every other year at our house), but I did get Camryn an Anna dress for the party. She loved it.
The other table was the "goody bag" table. Instead of making up their goody bags ahead of time I had them collect things throughout the party.
First we colored Frozen coloring pages. I bought a big Frozen coloring book and just ripped pages out. Easy. Then we did a quick "snowball toss" which was basically a few plastic cups stacked up in a pyramid and they threw a "snowball" at them.
Then we did "ice painting". Take equal parts Epsom salt and water, mix, and paint! It looked like they were painting water on black paper but when it dried it crystallized to look like ice crystals. Pretty cool.

Then we did a Frozen scavenger hunt where the clues were parts from the songs. The missing word told you where to go next.

The kids really liked this. At the end they got their prize, which was a bag of Olaf's I like warm hugs (Hershey's Hugs).

Then we played a kind of hot potato game while we listened to frozen songs and the last one holding the object got a prize- a snowflake cookie pop. After playing a few times we have everyone a cookie pop to put in their bags.
Then we got out some ribbon wands and danced to Frozen music. We ate the snacks and then ate the cupcakes while we watched the beginning of the movie. It came out on DVD the day before the party. Perfect!
And that was about it. The last thing they put in their bags was some snowball play doh- white homemade dough I mixed some glitter into. :)
It was a good party. It was during our spring break and took most of the break to prepare and then recover from! Can't believe my little Camryn is six!
