I wanted to add a quick recap of Camryn’s birthday.
She had so much fun opening presents. She got some cute stuff from her grandparents (thank you!) and every time she saw what was under the wrapping paper she did this funny surprised sound. It was so cute!
I decided not to do a party this year so instead we did a family outing to the StoneFire Pizza Company in New Berlin. It has a pizza buffet and the Discovery Room has all these fun things for kids to do. Train tables, water tables, face painting, a pretend pizza shop you can play in, etc. Camryn’s favorite was the water table. And she looked adorable in those little aprons they had.
They also had a big area kind of like Chuck E Cheese – games where you can earn tickets. It was a little crazy loud in there but we had fun playing some games.
They also had mini bumper bowling, bumper cars, a big climbing structure, and this one ride called the Frog Hopper.
The Frog Hopper was the highlight of the day for me. It shoots up in the air about 20 feet and then bounces up and down for a minute or so. Avery was much too scared to try it out. But my big girl Camryn REALLY wanted to try it out. You had to be 36 inches tall and we thought she was going to be too short and too scared so we told her that she probably couldn’t do it. She started to cry! So we said, okay let’s see if you’re tall enough. Surprisingly she was just tall enough (she measured 37” tall at her doctor appt last week) so they said she could go. I lifted her up into the seat and Merrick, Avery, and I watched nervously to see how she would do.
She was by far the smallest one. The other kids were probably 5-7 years old. She wasn’t nervous! And when they went up she was laughing and smiling! I about died. So cute! And I think that was the moment when I really realized that my little girl is three years old! She’s growing up! She’s brave and smart and adorable and I was a proud mom. :)
Look, you can’t even see her head she’s so little!!
She had such a contented face when she got off. That’s my girl!
Anyways, the nice thing about a buffet place is that we ate when we got there, we played for a couple hours, and then we came back and the girls ate more mac n cheese, pizza, breadsticks, and stuff before we left! Perfect!![]()
It was a nice birthday. She had a lot of fun. Thanks to our families for all the cards, gifts, and phone calls!

She is so mini on that ride!!! Too cute! What a fun idea for a party. I'll have to keep that in mind for Summer's next birthday.
What a PERFECT birthday for a three year old. Can't believe your YOUNGEST is three! I bet you're itching for a teeny to be back in the house!
